Good Appetizer recipes?

Hello everyone. My mom is throwing a ';southern living'; home party. It is a party where this person comes and show people real neat and unique items and you can buy them. My mom has to make like 10 different little appitezers for the party. For example a kind of dip or something. It must be pretty easy to make and not very expensive. Please post recipes or websites! Thanks so much. Best one will receive best answer!Good Appetizer recipes?
10 Easy Appetizers

1. Ranch dip in a hollowed out bell pepper with cut veggies (baby carrots, cellery sticks, whole cherry tomatoes, etc.)

2. Lipton onion soup mix stirred into sour cream served with potato chips

3. Mini rye breads topped with dill mixed into mayonaise and sliced cucumbers

4. Chili cheese dip (layer of cream cheese, layer of hormel chili, and layer of shredded cheddar cheese) baked in the oven until melted served with tortilla chips

5. Flour tortillas spread with cream cheese and layered with ham. Roll them up and slice them about 3/4 inch thick

6. Salsa and tortilla chips

7. bacon-wrapped water chestnuts

8. Potato skins (buy them premade and pop them in the oven)

9. Chicken fingers and honey mustard sauce (again, buy them premade and heat them in the oven)

10. Focaccia bread--you can buy it at the store and cut it into small squares

This provides both hot and cold appetizers and something for everyone. None are too difficult to make. If you need recipes, try allrecipes.com or recipezaar.comGood Appetizer recipes?
PARTY CREAM CHEESE PINWHEELS

1 teaspoon dried chives

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Cooking spray

1 egg, slightly beaten (or egg substitute equivalent)

2 teaspoons poppy seeds

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a small mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, parsley, chives, and

garlic powder. Set aside. On a floured surface, unroll the crescent

rolls into rectangles and combine to make 1 long rectangle. Spread

cream cheese mixture on and roll up like a pinwheel, starting at the

long side. Seal edges. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Place

roll on the cookie sheet, brush with egg, and sprinkle with poppy

seeds. Score at 1/2-inch intervals along the roll (not all the way

through). Pull apart slightly so that your scoring will not

completely seal back up during baking. Bake until golden brown.

I don't have any websites, but I do have a few good ideas. I love potato skins, deviled eggs, crab dip, and ';Zesty Broccoli Spears';. The Zesty Broccoli Spears is from the Southern Living cookbook, too! The recipe is below:

Zesty Broccoli Spears

Ingredients:

1 pound of fresh broccoli

3 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

medium garlic clove

Directions

1. Cut large leaves off broccoli.

2. Wash broccoli well.

3. Cut into spears.

4. Boil for 10- 12 minutes in a small amount of water.

5. Mix remaining ingredients together.

6. Put broccoli in a nice bowl.

7. Sprinkle sauce over all the broccoli.

8. Chill and enjoy!

It's kind of not an appetizer, but it can be used as one. Hope you enjoy it!

This is one of my favorite online recipe sites: http://www.recipezaar.com/

You can search for just about anything and you can also convert the recipes easily if you need to increase the amounts. I like that the recipes are rated by average people and they also give input as to any changes they have made to make the recipe better.

A very popular dip is spinach and artichoke: http://www.recipezaar.com/recipes.php?q=鈥?/a>

To make any dip extra special, serve it in a bread bowl which is very inexpensive.
