Some diced onion. This recipe only makes about
1 1/2 Dozen so be sure to at least double!Does anyone have any unique appetizer recipes?
You can make mozzarella sticks that are the bomb. You need won-ton rappers string cheese and an egg. Take the wrapper and roll up a whole string cheese then fold the ends in and brush them with egg and then deep fry them. They taste so damn good. Hope you like it.
I don't have a crockpot but I have a ton of recipes that are pretty good and I guess you can try to see which can be adapted to a crockpot! Hope this helps. See the link for recipes:
This is not a crock pot idea but a delicious appetizer. It is soooooo good.
Cheese balls
Use cream cheese and an equal amount of shredded cheese. Cream together. Shape into a ball. Roll in your favorite spice combination. Voila. Done!
The combinations are endless and delicious. You can use any kind of shredded cheeses. Experiment with the combination of spices, peppers, etc. Then just get boxes of crackers. I love spices so my cabinet has an endless amount of different kinds that I just mix together.
After you roll the cheese ball in the spices it looks so attractive.
The best I like from Crock pot is the Velveeta cheese dip,
I will tell you how I make it as I do not go by recipe OK
OK one large block Velveeta cheese
You will want to melt this down in crock pot with one can ro*tel(Original diced Tomatoes %26amp; green Cillies) or can use fresh , two cans if you like spicy.(save a little to add to meat for flavor if you use meat)(melt on low to med)
I will Fry 1-2 lbs depending how many I have of hambuger meat with some salt ,pepper and (little sprinkle)fejita seasoning for flavor. Also add your Rotel to meat here ,and stir meat on med heat untill done. After your cheese melts down add your meat (Remember to drain meat in strainer of all Grease !)It is ok if some the rotel escapes in draining as you used only to flavor meat some. Then you use Tortila Chips or favorite kind and use as dip. You can also add Beans to this instead meat or both , you can mix up and experment how you like and is easy to make . Also good on baked potatos
Chop up some avocados coarsely, add some roasted corn, black beans, lime and cilantro. Then take some chicken and onions. Marinate them in Tequila, lime, salt and pepper and the grill them. Chop them up and combine with the avocado mixture. IT's like guacamole but better. Top with Cotija Cheese.
No crock pot ideas here, but if you wanted to do bite-size and semi-fancy, go to the freezer section that has pie shells and get some of the tiny pre-made tart shells and fill them with the canned (or fresh) pie filling and bake as instructed. You could do different flavors. Also, consider puddings or even the no bake cheesecake filling...although it would be a dough crust instead of the traditional graham crust.
This is a great website, and all the appetizers take 30 minutes or less to make

Bacon Covered Artichoke Hearts
1 lb bacon; 1 jar marinated artichoke hearts (quartered)
Wrap each heart in a 1/2 slice of bacon and stick a toothpick thru it to make sure it stays together. When you're done, bake them at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until bacon is nice and crispy.
So simple, but oh-so-delicious!

I love to make TGI Fridays tuscan spinach dip for parties. You need one package of thawed frozen chopped spinach, one can of artichoke hearts (chopped), half cup of mayo, half cup of sour cream, a cup of mozzarella cheese (cubed), half a chopped oinion, tbsp of garlic powder. Mix everything together, put it in a buttered casarole dish. Put it in the oven and bake at about 350 until brown and bubbly, or you can microwave it for a few minutes. Serve with raw veggies and tortilla chips (blue corn are the best). It's delicious and everyone loves it!
Nobody ever picks this swedish meatball recipe as a best answer, but I have fed this to over 300 people, and I always get raves...here it goes:
In crock, combine on high for 6 hours...
2 cans mushroom soup
2 cans milk
16 oz sour cream
12 oz cream cheese
1 can mild chili peppers (Ortega)
1 pound frozen meatballs.
combine all ingredients, and let cook for six hours stirring every hour to break up cream cheese.
Fresh fruit with different dips.
Spiced Pulled Beef
This requires overnight refrigeration which allows the flavors to marry. Don't be fooled by the ingredients list, this is pretty spicy, adjust to your tastes.
Ingredients
3 pounds boneless beef chuck roast, cut into 1 inch cubes
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
3 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon dried oregano
28 ounces beef stock [2 14 ounce containers], divided
1 teaspoon coarse salt, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
sour cream, for serving
lime wedges, for serving
Method
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Saut茅 the beef cubes in the oil for 2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium and stir in the garlic.
In a small bowl, combine the chili powder, cumin and flour. Sprinkle over the meat and stir until evenly coated. Crumble the oregano over the meat and pour in 1 1/2 cans of the broth.
Add the salt and ground black pepper, stir together well, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and let simmer, partially covered for about 90 minutes. Pour in remaining broth and simmer 30 minutes more, until meat begins to fall apart.
Cool, cover and refrigerate overnight.
To serve, heat over low heat or start in a cold crock pot and heat until hot.
Serve with sour cream, lime wedges and tortilla chips.
oh-I have 2 good ones.
now when I cook I just go by what looks %26amp; tastes right measurement wise, lol
#1--these cook in the oven--but after they are cooked-you CAN transfer them to a crock pot
1 pack of hillshire farms little smokies
1 lb bacon
1 box brown sugar.
cut the bacon in half-wrap each lil smokie with a piece of bacon
place in baking dish--pour brown sugar over top
bake at 350 until the bacon is crispy on top-and the brown sugar bubbles. depending on how much brown sugar you use though the bacon *may not* get crispy.--just make sure it is fully cooked before taking out of oven-even if the brown sugar is bubbling.
those are SOO good and they are always gone within 5 minutes of coming out of the oven, lol
#2
Turkey sloppy joes
1lb (or however much you are going to need) of ground turkey
2 cans of sloppy joe mix
3 cups dark brown sugar
combine both together in crock pot and let cook.
for every lb of turkey-you'll need 2 cans of the sloppy joe sauce.
this also goes over very well--people get really surprised when they find out that the meat is turkey and not beef.
well it won't go in a crock pot but try this
u will need
1 block cream cheese
1 16oz sour cream
1 pkg Lipton veggie soup mix
chicken tenders
baby spinach
green onions
1 red pepper
and tortillas
boil the chicken then shred it
chop the spinach pepper and onions into small Pisces then mix everything in a bowl ( sour cream, cream cheese, soup mix all of it)
let it set for about 5 min because th veggies in the mix will have to moisten,
spread it all on the tortilla role it up and cut it into little round pinwheels .
Yummy
