My favorite and easy recipe is as follows:
1 loaf of mini party rye
1 pound of ground beef or turkey
1 pound pork sausage
1 small diced onion
1 tsp. oregano or Italian seasonings
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 pound Velvetta cheese, cubed
Brown meats and drain well. Add everything else except the bread. Stir until the cheese melts. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper or parchment paper. Spread the mixture over each slice of bread and place on cookie sheet. If sheet is covered totally, place another sheet of waxed paper on top and place the rest of the slices on top. When done, cover all with another sheet of waxed paper and then entirely with foil. Place in freezer until frozen solid. Remove from freezer and carefully remove breads from sheet and place in Ziploc bag. When ready to use, remove the number desired, place on cookie sheet and broil 4 inches from heat until hot and bubbly. Watch carefully as these cook within minutes. Of course, if you want to use these immediately after making them you can skip the freeze step. I usually double the recipe and make enough for now and whenever.Where can I get free appetizer recipes? Good ones. HELP PLEASE...?
Well, what our family really likes is stuff jalapeno peppers. cut them in half and cut out the seeds and then the veins(this cuts the heat of the pepper) Stuff with cream cheese and wrap it with turkey bacon. Bake or grill at 400 degrees or until bacon is done. They are great. We also like button mushrooms stuffed with bratwurst. Get Johnsonville Brats and then take one and squeeze enough out of the casing to fill the mushroom. Bake mushroom side down around 350 degrees until sausage is done. Good luck! This is the only way that my husband can eat jalapenos. He is weak. Lol...
